Ryan Allis, co-founder and CEO of iContact, inspired me with his interview (with Andrew) on Mixergy tonight. This was the first time that I heard Ryan’s story of his “early years,” and I realized that we have a lot in common.
We are very close in age (25 1/2 according to his interview and I barely turned 26)
We were both baby entrepreneurs (he started at 11 selling computer consulting services, I started at 13 selling custom built computers)
We both were the nerdy kid reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad in high school
We both had a big dream for our business venture at a young age ( have a co. with $1 million in revenue by 21 for him, $1 million in liquid asset by 25 for me)
Yet he missed his goal of achieving $1 million in revenue by just 18 days and I am still missing mine. What happend?
He got started – took real action to achieve his goal – way before I did.
Execute, execute, execute. It’s a good lesson for any entrepreneur to keep in mind.
See the full interview below if you’ve missed it.
