Michael grew up looking up to his father, a successful entrepreneur who retired when he was only 46, in hopes of achieving what he had accomplished. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, Michael pursued the study of accounting (known to him as the “language of business.”) Michael received his bachelor in business economics and accounting in 3 years and his masters in accountancy in 1.

He went on and pursued a career in public accounting (performing private company reviews, SEC company audits, SOX compliance audits and consulting) and eventually received his CPA designation in California. All the while Michael acted as the go-to person for his equally entrepreneurial friends for their business’s accounting and financial analysis needs. That’s when Michael realized that accounting was one of the least understood subjects for most business owners and it is costing them a lot – of money. DeepSky was founded with the vision of helping entrepreneurs understand (and thus improve) the health of their business while they build something significant.
